Rivermaya / Marlboro Event @ Club Vudu
After binging at Mooon Cafe, we all converged at Club Vudu for the concert. 2240h to be exact. That's Rivermaya's call time. We wrangled our way in thru the dense crowd. Would you believe the line stretched down to Olio??? My shoes were killing me but I was determined to live through our February-MLA-band-fix, this one being the last.Thank goodness, these gigs are never on time so we'd managed to find us good real estate fronting the widescreen. The only way one can get close to the band was to swim thru the mass of sweating humanity at the main room of Club Vudu.
This is exactly what happens to an article if it's written way too long since the event. I cna't remember the details anymore - 'cept that my feet hurt. As usual, I'll let the pictures do the story telling....

Marty Casey & the Lovehammers / Mia
It was just my luck that I met Mia Pestaño. She happens to be the Street Teamer for the Philippines for Marty Casey & the Lovehammers! Yes, yes. The same Marty Casey from Rockstar: INXS. Check them out at www.lovehammers.com and www.lovehammerforum.com. Everthing about them is in there so I shall reserve my comments.
Mia dropped by to give us their CD (11 tracks! including TREES!) before she left for MLA.
Ok, so it's public knowledge that I rooted for Marty at the contest and was singin Trees at the top of my lungs every chance I got. Everyone at the station was sick of hearing my version it's manna from heaven that now we've got the clean copy from the Lovehammers' own street teamer.

Bamboo RX Concert @ Aznar Coliseum
After almost four hours of waiting for Bamboo, there they were on what could've been the briefest concert ever. It was probably just 6 to 8 songs and it was all over. It wasn't until 12mn (!) when they took the stage.
June & I situated ourselves behind the crowd who had all gone on their chairs when the band started setting up.
Was it worth it? Yeah, I guess. I mean, I ditched a coffee date so I could wait for them to play.
